Not Alone!

Bringing hope … when loneliness is most deeply felt

The holidays are drawing near. And while you may anticipate the joy of being surrounded by family and friends over the holidays, elders who are alone and isolated dread the upcoming season.

But not this year! You can help LBFE reach more elders and provide more opportunities for hope through the Not Alone! campaign. With your gift to Not Alone!, you’ll make a difference during a season when loneliness is most acute.

Through Not Alone!, LBFE invites you to help us provide 1,500 “Acts of Companionship” during the October – December 2011 holiday season. You can help us reach our $75,000 goal by supporting Acts of Companionship based on your gift amount. Specifically,
• $50 provides a home visit, gift and delivered holiday meal for 1 elder
• $100 provides Friendship & Flowers visits to 10 homebound elders
• $250 provides a home visit, gift and delivered holiday meal for 5 elders
• $1,000 sponsors a social engagement activity in the community for 25 elders
• $5,000 underwrites an entire Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day holiday congregate meal for over 100 elders
