Benefits of Planned Giving

Sometimes it is difficult to be charitable when you are unsure if you will need those assets in the future – of course, your family comes first. But there is a way to make a significant gift that takes into account tax-saving strategies and income-producing assets. These types of gifts are called planned gifts.

While the primary purpose of a planned gift is to contribute to the charitable cause of your choice, its secondary purpose may be for you to enjoy the personal financial or family benefits that certain plans can provide you.

Planned gifts help ensure the mission of LBFE lives on
LBFE continues to make a significant impact by bringing companionship, hope and connectedness into the lives of hundreds of isolated and lonely older persons – one treasured elder at a time. Over the last three years, our dedicated staff and volunteers have provided 15,852 in-person visits, 5,310 telephone visits, 2,118 holiday meals and 236 social gatherings.

But our work is not done. With your commited support, LBFE will be able to maintain and expand our one-on-one and group engagement activities, fund more program coordinators and counselors, expand the geographic area we serve, and implement new programs for our elders. With your investment, we can bring hope and dignity to the tens of thousands of older adults throughout the Twin Cities who are struggling with isolation, loneliness, and depression every day.

If you have any questions about making a planned gift or if you would like to learn more about programs you can support, please feel free to call Mike Niles at 612.746.0748.
