Becoming a Partner
Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly supports companies like yours that aim to make a positive contribution to the Twin Cities community and to older adults. We can provide support to help your company achieve its corporate social responsibility and business objectives.
A partnership with us will benefit your organization in a number of ways:
1. Demonstrate corporate social responsibility
You will demonstrate that your company is a good corporate citizen and takes corporate social responsibility seriously. According to the 2008 Cone Cause Evolution Study, 85% of Americans say they have a more positive image of a company when it supports a cause. A corporation’s charitable endeavor can also help boost employee morale and encourage retirees to positively channel their skills.
2. Gain respect for your organization
Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly has been serving the Twin Cities for almost 40 years and is a respected nonprofit organization working on behalf of lonely, isolated older adults age 60+.
3. Make a difference
Our programs are results-oriented. We offer accountability and reporting on how your funds are used. Over the past three years, Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly has provided:
- 15,852 in-person visits
- 5,310 telephone visits
- 2,118 holiday meals
- 236 social gatherings
Our programs and services include mental health counseling in the home, companionship visiting, holiday and birthday celebrations, and social engagement activities, such as bingo, guided reminiscing, picnics and much more.
4. Partnering for a great cause
We are a volunteer-driven organization promoting older adult independence and well-being. Often, our services make it possible for elders to continue to age in place. We have a variety of ways in which you can become involved with us. We’ll work with you to decide how to best utilize and direct your giving and employee volunteerism. We want our partnership to work for you as well as for those who benefit from our work.
