Social Activities

Seniors can find connectedness with peers and volunteers while enjoying activities and outings hosted by LBFE.

Social engagement events are offered at no expense to participants or volunteers. Holiday meals are a special tradition at LBFE. We gather for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter at various locations in the Twin Cities area. If an elder can't attend one of these celebrations, volunteers bring a hot meal and good company to those who are homebound. LBFE also hosts monthly birthday celebrations, as well as intergenerational activities, special outings, hobby groups, bingo, computer training and much more.

Support, wellness and therapeutic groups are available throughout the year, as well. Topics revolve around lifestyle and age-related themes, such as stress management, reminiscence and grief and loss.
