Neighbor Connect in Longfellow

Neighbor Connect is a collaborative effort of residents, organizations, businesses, faith communities and schools working toward a vision of an isolation-free neighborhood.

If you live or work in Longfellow, you can be a part of Neighbor Connect!

  • Neighbors as Visiting Companions meet one-to-one or in groups with the goal of creating isolation-free blocks.
  • Volunteer Block Leaders organize and energize block groups of Visiting Companions.
  • By working together, we’ll ensure that isolated elders have access to a fuller array of services. Current participating organizations include Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors, Longfellow Community Council, Meals on Wheels, and more.

  • Members of the business community learn ways to be welcoming to elders and offset their isolation, while also benefiting through enduring customer relationships.
