Planned Giving

Leave a Legacy of Friendship

One of the most impactful ways you can demonstrate your commitment to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly is by setting up an estate gift.

Your will is more than a legal document. It helps ensure the continuation of values that are important to you. By supporting LBFE through your estate, you can ensure that LBFE can provide essential services for elders for years to come.

A well-prepared estate gift keeps you in control. You decide how your assets will be distributed, so addition to making a difference for elders, your estate plan can ensure that your assets are kept available for you and your family’s needs, and that funds are optimized to minimize taxes and produce additional income.

To learn more or to receive your free Planned Giving Toolkit, please email Ceallaigh Anderson Smart, Development Manager, or call 612.746.0739.

With your vision and generosity, the most isolated and vulnerable elders will always have a friend through LBFE.

Join the Flowers Before Bread Legacy Society

We established the Flowers Before Bread Legacy Society to recognize donors who have included LBFE in their estate plans. As a member of the Legacy Society, you are entitled to the following benefits:

• Exclusive invitation to our Annual Legacy Society Event

• A lifetime subscription to our quarterly newsletter, Among Friends

• Special ongoing recognition in annual reports.

• The gift of knowing that you affect countless lives through your thoughtful legacy.

As we strive to serve more and more older adults in the Twin Cities area who are struggling with isolation and loneliness, we appreciate investors who understand their role in safeguarding our financial future. Since LBFE’s only source of income is donations from our supporters, planned gifts are essential to our current and future success.

Joining the Flowers Before Bread Legacy Society is simple. If you have included LBFE in your will or estate plans – bequest, charitable trust, life insurance policy, or retirement plan – you automatically become a member. Please let us know about your planned gift if you have not done so already so that we can document and thank you for your intent.

To express your intent, please email Ceallaigh Anderson Smart, Development Manager, or call 612.746.0739.
